Support for Triage/db

Triage/db is an add-on product to Triage and Triage Pro, that allows faster resolution of ODBC and database related issues.

When an ODBC call fails, you no longer need to spend hours trying to determine whether it is a problem with client libraries, or a net protocol mismatch, or even a database engine not running, you can use Triage to automatically collect all the information you need to properly diagnose and resolve database problems.

Triage/db extends Triage's automated collection capabilities with the following:

Database configuration information

Triage/db collects all the database configuration information you need to determine why an ODBC connection failed. You can quickly determine whether:

  • all the ODBC files are present and the correct versions are found

  • the Data Source Name (DSN) is correct

  • the ODBC connection path works and it is connected to the correct DSN

  • a selected DSN is connected to Oracle or SQL Server ...

Data Collection

Collect data from tables, stored procedures or define your own queries. Triage collects the data and returns it with the audit report. The data can be viewed in any HTML browser.

Support for the Triage SDK

The Triage SDK is a C++ API that provides access to the Triage Client functionality.

The SDK allows you to:

  • Extend Triage Client to collect software and hardware information beyond what Triage currently collects. The new information collected is saved in the audit report and can then be loaded into Triage Analyzer.

  • Brand the product - replace the Triage Client GUI with your own GUI.

  • Integrate Triage Client more closely with your own products by providing an API to the functionality currently available through the command-line interface.

Host name

The host name is now collected.
