Views and Customization
Census Web provides the capability to create different Views of a Census project.
For example, developers may want to see information for a field such as Fix Information while sales personnel
may not necessarily be interested in this information. You may want to restrict which
defects a customer has access to - only the ones entered by them.
In this way, each class of users (group) only sees the information (fields and records) they
need to see.
| The Web View Editor allows the
creation and modification of Views. An unlimited number of Views can be created for the same project.
The Web View Editor is used to:
- Add Fields
- Remove Fields
- Order Fields
- Set Attribute Values (Field Properties)
- Define the Set of Records a User Has Access To
- Set the Inactivity Logoff Interval

The Web View Editor is installed on any system where a Team Member version of Census is installed.
No programming is required to create or modify Views.
The Attribute Editor is used to customize elements (field properties)
of the Web browser interface:
- Labels
- Whether a Field Spans Over 2 Columns
- Field Length (Characters)
